Artists are invited to submit works that reflect their own artistic practice, conceptual direction or sculptural concerns, including works that are site-inspired or environmentally informed, without a prescribed thematic or site-specific brief.

The selected artwork will demonstrate conceptual strength, material intelligence, and a refined and resolved sculptural outcome suitable for public display.

The winning artworks will be acquired into the City of Kalamunda Public Art Collection for the enjoyment of our local community and to enrich our public spaces.

Perth Sky Meridian Award – $50,000

City of Kalamunda Acquisitive Award

The Perth Sky Meridian Award recognises an exceptional work of contemporary sculpture that demonstrates a thoughtful and informed response to site.

This award celebrates sculptural works that operate in dialogue with the land, environment, and sky, exploring humanity’s place within the universe and how we perceive and situate ourselves within larger systems.

Eligible works must be designed for outdoor public display and demonstrate sensitivity to the physical, cultural and environmental context of the site.

The winning artwork will be acquired into the City of Kalamunda Public Art Collection.
