Where Art, Nature and the Cosmos Converge

Perth Observatory

Perth Sky Sculpture Park is part of the Perth Observatory and set within its bushland grounds. The Perth Observatory is Western Australia’s oldest observatory. For 130 years, the Observatory has proudly served Western Australia, and it remains committed to public education through Day Tours for schools and Night Sky Tours for the public.

Recognised for its scientific, cultural and historical significance, the Observatory was entered into Western Australia’s Heritage Register in 2005. Since July 2015, the Perth Observatory Volunteer Group operates the Observatory, ensuring a bright future and a place to inspire the public and young minds.

Bickley Valley

Perched on the edge of the Darling Scarp, Bickley is a semi-rural, forested enclave within the City of Kalamunda, and home to the popular Bickley Harvest Festival, celebrating the valley’s eateries, wineries, cideries and distillers.

A gateway to the Perth Hills, the area is surrounded by ancient jarrah, marri and wandoo forests, making it a haven for bushwalkers, mountain bikers and nature lovers. Explore the region’s rich Noongar and settler heritage, browse local markets full of fresh produce and artisan goods, and unwind at boutique wineries and cideries. Make a day of it: slow down, explore and connect.
